Our team

Our passionate teachers are well-qualified and experienced in IEB/CAPS, Cambridge and university lessons. Our team has been carefully selected for their subject strengths and care for kids. Several of our students have achieved the top marks in South Africa across our different subjects. Students can expect to benefit from lessons and marking that are shared by our entire team of teachers and wonderful behind-the-scenes markers (our past star students) to provide a more diverse learning experience with guidance from a variety of perspectives. Being naturally creative, we may try out different techniques at times to test new ideas. We encourage our students and parents to give us constructive feedback. Please download the detailed lesson information below to view our current teachers and their qualifications.

Our courses

Preparing for Cambridge exams

Our courses preparing students to write the Cambridge examinations are a hybrid of traditional teaching and self-study distance learning in a class of a maximum of six students, covering the content of each level in one year followed by six months of intensive exam preparation. The only thing they'll need in addition to our live lessons is the textbook. We provide everything else including lesson recordings, study sessions for Q&A, course material set out in a google Classroom consisting of video links, textbook references, articles and case studies for extension, additional notes, assignments of past papers by topic, individual work plans, monitoring of work with personal feedback, WhatsApp support between lessons and a mid-course diagnostic mini exam. In addition the package also includes a study skills workshop and optional current affairs discussion lessons. No other schooling, no extra tutors, no more headaches.

Extra lessons for IEB / CAPS and university exams

Extra lessons are provided to fill the gaps, develop a strong foundation and perfect skills. Extensive use is made of past paper questions by topic. Students are trained to learn from their mistakes by using the mark schemes to mark their own work and identify problems that can then be discussed and rectified during lessons, as well as to create notes on their errors for future reference.
